The position requires at least 3 years of relevant experience preferably in an aged care or disability setting. The role requires a mature and enthusiastic work attitude and should have a commitment for long-term employment.&nbsp;The Registered Nurse (Aged Care) will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care to elderly residents within a residential aged care facility. The role involves clinical assessment, care planning, supervision of care staff, medication management, and ensuring compliance with relevant Australian healthcare standards, including the Aged Care Quality Standards.The position requires strong clinical judgement, leadership capability, and a commitment to enhancing the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of residents. <h3>Benefits</h3>Salary: $130,000 to $140,000 plus Super depending on experience <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><h3>Clinical Care Delivery</h3><ul><li>Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of residents, including physical, psychological, and social needs.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans in consultation with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor and evaluate residents’ responses to treatment and care interventions.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide wound care management, palliative care, and chronic disease management.&nbsp;</li></ul><h3>Supervision &amp; Leadership</h3><ul><li>Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses (ENs), Assistants in Nursing (AINs), and care staff.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior staff.&nbsp;</li><li>Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure care delivery aligns with professional standards.&nbsp;</li></ul><h3>Compliance &amp; Documentation</h3><ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes and care records.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission standards and relevant NSW health regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in audits, accreditation processes, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.&nbsp;</li></ul><h3>Communication &amp; Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Liaise effectively with residents, families, general practitioners, allied health professionals, and external service providers.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate clinical information clearly and professionally.&nbsp;</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.&nbsp;</li><li>Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of post-registration experience, preferably in aged care or geriatric nursing.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated experience in medication administration, care planning, and clinical assessments.&nbsp;</li><li>Comprehensive clinical knowledge and understanding of the ageing process, particularly to age-related health issues.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership and management skills.</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.&nbsp;</li><li>Intermediate computer skills.</li></ul>
