The successful applicant must be living and working in the Goldfields DAMA region.As a Disability Support Worker/Disabled Carer you provide care, emotional support, physical assistance and supervision for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.The main responsibilities of the role are:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Supporting clients in daily activities, fostering independence and engagement.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Organising social activities to promote interaction and enjoyment.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within clients' homes through various housekeeping duties.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Aiding in personal hygiene routines and dressing, respecting clients' dignity and privacy.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Offering emotional support and companionship, creating meaningful connections.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Occasionally facilitating shopping trips and running errands to meet clients' needs.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Delivering high-intensity clinical supports, including PEG feeding, hydration, and medication administration in line with care plans and training</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Monitoring for and responding to clinical risks, including aspiration, PEG integrity, and changes in health presentation</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Performing complex manual handling tasks, including full hoist transfers and repositioning for pressure care</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Providing active overnight support, including continuous monitoring and response to participant needs</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Interpreting and responding to non-verbal communication cues to identify pain, discomfort, or unmet needs</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Supporting bowel care and continence management, including recognising when escalation or additional support is required</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Accurately completing clinical and daily documentation</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Supporting weekly clinical routines, such as PEG-related procedures (as trained and delegated)</li></ul>&nbsp;To be eligible for the role you need to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Relevant Certificate II or III or at least 1 year of full-time relevant work experience</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Minimum C-Class Driver’s License</li><li style="text-align:justify;">NDIS Worker Screening Check and Western Australian Working with Children Check</li><li style="text-align:justify;">First Aid and CPR certificate are desired</li></ul>&nbsp;What’s on offer:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Permanent full-time position.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Attractive salary package between $75,000 and $85,000 per year pending on skills and experience.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Fun team environment.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Working and living near Australia’s best beaches.</li></ul>
